MHCS Building Expansion
Exciting News!
Our membership approved a bold new building expansion to support our growing school and mission. This $9 million project will unfold in three phases, each launched as funds become available.
Phase 1
Main Floor Chapel and Second Floor Classroom Expansion
The chapel will provide staff and students with: - a dedicated environment for worship during their weekly chapel times - an ideal classroom for CTF classes in Worship and Performing Arts - an ideal gathering space for school assemblies - additional overflow classroom space The chapel also has the potential of bringing in some rental revenue for the school. The upper level mezzanine will provide additional classrooms we are currently in such great need of.
Phase 2
Expanded Gymnasium
This phase will double the size of our current gymnasium to allow two separate physical education classes to be run at the same time. It will also allow for an expanded viewing area for sports events.
Phase 3
Additional classrooms, changerooms and storage
Phase 3 will provide an additional eight classrooms that will ensure we will not have to cap enrollment for a number of years to come. It will add additional changerooms for the larger gymnasium and some much needed storage areas, along with a possible greenhouse for additional learning.
